Recently, American based firm Best Buy filed a lawsuit against a Xiamen local company for abuse of its business name. The Xiamen local company has a lawfully and properly registered business name, but the core part of the name has the same corresponding Chinese word of Best Buy. Therefore, Best Buy Enterprise Service Inc. filed a lawsuit against the Xiamen local company, claiming that the respondent has violated the Unfair Competition Law Article 5, section 3 and corresponding remedy is being sought.
