An American company sold woods to a Chinese furniture manufacturer in Guangdong Province on mid of 2007 on a term of cash payment against reception of goods. The Chinese buyer held on the payment without releasing any excuse or reason. Last summer, the American company engaged Wans Law Firm LLP to collect the payment. WLF searched out the contact information of the buyer and started communication with it. At the first, the buyer complained the quality of the woods. After several communications with fully disclose of risk of lawsuit, the buyer offered a settlement. Accordingly, WLF made a settlement with it and collected the settled payment smoothly (S.L).
